Generative AI for CLM or eDetailing in pharmaceutical sales

Generating images got a whole lot easier this week with the release of Microsoft Bing’s Image Creator tool, powered by OpenAI’s DALL-E 3. Try it yourself!

https://www.bing.com/create

Tools like DALL-E and Midjourney had always been available. Despite the buzz, not everyone I know in my tech circles signed up for OpenAI. Midjourney had even a higher barrier to entry. It wasn’t a website but to generate images, one had to use Discord.

StableDiffusion is great, but you had to find a site that gave you enough GPU time, or you have to host it yourself.

So what can we do with genAI in the pharmaceutical sales and marketing space? eDetail or CLM presentations. Just ask Bing to create the content for you:

This is the prompt used: “Picture of adult healthy male using a respiratory inhaler with a blue background running on a path with a diagram of lungs on the right”

What if you don’t like blue? Your brand’s color is purple. Don’t want a male but want a female patient. Just ask again: “picture of adult healthy women using a respiratory inhaler with a purple background running on a path with a diagram of lungs on the right”

Pretty incredible right?
